I'm feeling very owlish and have been walking around blinking a lot, since somehow I broke my glasses. Fortunately I have contact lenses, so at least I haven't been walking into walls, trees, children, space stations, etc. I need one tiny screw and a tiny, tiny screwdriver.

I also got Tom Waits' "Alice" and Lou Reed's "Transformer" today. "Barcarolle" is very good (off Alice), but I can't help thinking (as I do), "Oh this isn't how Lewis Carroll was at all." I'm too much of a geek. I should put a big tape patch on my glasses and buy a pair of these "403 Forbidden" panties. Or a plush microbe! Germs are so cute when they're fuzzy!
